What’s been happening:

After receiving my BS and MS degrees at Penn State, I spent three months in personnel administration at Chrysler Corporation in Detroit. Two years of US Army service in personnel research mostly in Washington, DC followed by a year and a half in civilian service for the Army. Sixteen and one half years with a small behavioral research and consulting firm in Arlington, VA. Most work was in visual aspects of air, traffic, and automobile safety, human factors in military systems, and social surveys in youth camp safety, water conservation, and National Parks. Twenty-one years of employment in research functions of AARP including nine years as administrator of an AARP foundation funding research in (mostly) social gerontology. Thirteen years in retirement in which I volunteer with a national association of gerontological educators and maintain web pages for religious groups.
